We use cookies and similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels and tags — in three categories: (a) strictly necessary, which are required to provide the Service; (b) analytics, which help us understand how the Service is used; and (c) advertising measurement, which tells us whether our advertising leads to visits, sign-ups and orders. Only strictly-necessary technologies run without your choice. Where we ask for consent, optional technologies are not loaded until you give it.

These authenticate you and keep you signed in (Firebase Authentication, provided by Google), protect the Service against fraud and abuse, remember preferences such as your language and locale, and record the choices you make about cookies so that we can respect them. The payment and support-chat technologies described below are also used only to provide what you ask for. These technologies are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off through the product.

When you arrive through a link with campaign tags (such as utm parameters or an ad-click identifier) or from another website, we store a first-party record of that source, the page you landed on and your device type in your browser. If you create an account, the record is added to your account so that we can see which campaigns bring people to 7gens and which of them lead to a book. It is kept for your current visit only unless you allow analytics, in which case it is kept for up to 90 days, and it is deleted from your browser if you refuse analytics. We do not send it to advertising platforms.

With your consent, we use Amplitude (product analytics) and Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, visits and key steps such as signing up, starting a checkout and completing a purchase. These tools set their own cookies or identifiers (for example, _ga, _ga_* and AMP_*) and receive technical data such as pseudonymous identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the pages you view. We have switched off the capture of clicked text and form contents, so they do not receive the names, dates or other family material in your workshop.

With your consent, we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, and Google Ads conversion tracking, to measure whether our advertising leads to visits, sign-ups, checkouts and purchases, and to decide where to advertise. For this purpose Meta and Google receive on-site events (such as a completed registration, a started checkout, or a purchase and its value) and identifiers: the cookies their tags set (for example, _fbp, _fbc and _gcl_au). From our server we also send these events to Meta (with a one-way hash of your email address and an internal account identifier) and to Google Analytics (with an internal account identifier), so that measurement works even when a browser blocks the tags. They never receive your family material. Meta and Google use this data under their own terms, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Where US privacy laws permit us to do so without asking first, we may run analytics and advertising measurement for visitors in the United States unless they opt out. Because advertising measurement may be a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under US state laws, the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link switches it off immediately in that browser and, if you are signed in, on your account. You can also switch analytics off in “Cookie preferences”.

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information. If your browser sends it, advertising measurement stays off in that browser, and if you are signed in we also record the opt-out on your account, regardless of any other setting.

When you make a payment, our payment processor Stripe may set cookies that are necessary to process the transaction and to detect and prevent fraud. These are governed by Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies.

Your cookie choice is kept in your browser until you change it or clear your browser's storage. The first-party record of how you found us is kept for your current visit, or for up to 90 days if you allow analytics. Cookies set by analytics and advertising providers last as long as each provider sets them — typically from the end of your visit up to two years (for example, _ga up to two years and _fbp about three months) — unless you withdraw consent or delete them sooner.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through “Cookie preferences” at the foot of every page, on this notice, or in your account settings (and, in the United States, through the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link). When you withdraw consent, the optional tags stop sending data and we delete the cookies they set where your browser allows it; withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop sign-in or payments from working. The Russian service at 7gens.ru uses none of the optional tools described here.
