When you get money back, when you don't, and how to ask.
You may cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Monthly fees are non-refundable for the period in progress. Annual plans may be cancelled at any time and the unused, whole-month portion is refunded pro-rata. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund periods already used.
Internal research credits are prepaid. Credits you have not yet used may be refunded to your original payment method on request. Credits already consumed by AI generation, verification, or research tasks are non-refundable, because the underlying work and provider costs have already been incurred.
Hardcover orders are refundable until you approve the final proof. Once you approve a proof and the print order is placed with our print partner, it is non-refundable, because production begins immediately. If a book arrives defective or damaged in transit, we will replace or reprint it at no charge — contact us within fourteen (14) days of delivery with photos.
Fees for archive requests cover third-party archive charges and our handling. They are refundable until the request is submitted. Once submitted, they are non-refundable regardless of the archive's outcome or response time, which are outside our control.
To request a refund, email support@7gens.me with your account email and what you'd like refunded. We aim to review requests within five (5) business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe; the time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us first at support@7gens.me; most issues are resolved quickly. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution and can result in suspension of the account pending review.
