Sub-processors.
Who helps us run 7gens.

We engage the sub-processors below to operate the Service. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement that limits processing to our instructions, requires appropriate security, and prohibits using your family material to train machine-learning models. Our analytics and advertising-measurement partners receive only the limited data described in their entries, and only as you allow in “Cookie preferences” (or, in the United States, unless you opt out); where a partner uses data under its own terms, we say so. Locations are indicative; providers may process data in the United States and other countries under the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

Stripe, Inc. processes payments, subscriptions, and related fraud prevention. Card details are handled by Stripe; 7gens does not store full card numbers. Stripe also processes payment and transaction data under its own Privacy Policy — including for payment processing, fraud prevention, dispute handling, regulatory compliance, and Stripe services such as Link where used. Purpose: billing and payments. Data: name, email, billing and transaction data.

Google LLC / Google Cloud provides hosting, database (Cloud SQL), and object storage for the Service, and provides the Gemini models we use, as our processor, to research, draft, translate, and verify your book. Purpose: hosting, storage, and AI processing. Data: account data, uploaded family material, and generated content. Google is contractually prohibited from training its models on your material.

TypeSafe AI, Inc. provides the Jev typed-decision model, which we use to check individual facts in your book and to match records. It receives short text excerpts from your tree — for example, a sentence and the fact it should agree with — never your files. Processing takes place in the United States, and TypeSafe does not use this data to train its models. Purpose: fact checking and record matching. Data: short excerpts of family text (names, dates, places, relationships). Not used for the Russian service at 7gens.ru.

Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) sends transactional and service email, such as verification, password reset, and notifications. Purpose: email delivery. Data: name and email address.

Lulu Press, Inc. (Lulu Direct) prints and ships physical books. Purpose: print fulfilment and delivery. Data: recipient name, shipping address, and the book file to be printed.

Amplitude, Inc. provides product analytics, used only if you allow analytics (or, in the United States, unless you opt out). It receives page views, visits, key product events such as sign-up and checkout steps, pseudonymous identifiers, and device and browser data. Capture of clicked text and form contents is switched off, and it never receives your family material. Purpose: understanding and improving the Service. Location: United States.

Google LLC provides Google Analytics 4, used only if you allow analytics, and Google Ads conversion measurement, used only if you allow advertising measurement (or, in the United States, unless you opt out). They receive page views and on-site events such as a completed sign-up or a purchase and its value, the identifiers their cookies set, and device and browser data; with advertising consent our server also sends Google Analytics these events with an internal account identifier. For Google Ads, Google may use this data under its own terms. Purpose: analytics and advertising measurement.

Meta Platforms, Inc. and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited provide the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API, used only if you allow advertising measurement (or, in the United States, unless you opt out). They receive on-site events such as a completed registration, a started checkout, or a purchase and its value, the identifiers the pixel sets, and, from our server, a one-way hash of your email address and an internal account identifier. They never receive your family material. Meta uses this data under its own terms, including the Meta Business Tools Terms. Purpose: advertising measurement.

To carry out research we may query third-party genealogy and archive sources, such as FamilySearch, WikiTree, and Wikidata, and submit archive requests you ask for. These receive search queries (which can include names, dates, and places) rather than your uploaded files, and process them under their own terms.

We may update this list as the Service evolves. Material changes are reflected here with a new revision date. If your use of the Service is subject to a data-processing agreement that requires advance notice of new sub-processors, we will provide it as agreed.
